Oops, HBG looks taller than he actually is.
As I told you before, I like to think that Constance is Emily's aunt, and she loves her niece a lot. But she is evil with everybody but her, the Ghost Host and Master Gracey. Everybody, so the Hatbox Ghost too. Hatty is Emily's husband, so Constance nephew-in-law (it's funny to say this, she is younger than him). And when she doesn't humiliate him or when they don't argue, she scares him with her ghost hatchet (ghost weapons hurt ghosts, in my headcanon) ; after all, everybody fear Connie, all but those she likes... so Emily, sometimes annoyed of their shit.

Even if I don't personally agree with the idea that Hattie is the Bride's husband, I find interesting all the other ideas (Constance as Emily's aunt, scaring everybody but her, the hatchet thing).
Still, why exactly do you mean by "ghost weapons hurt ghosts" ? As a basic idea it makes sense, but how far can it go ? You can't kill a ghost, even with a ghost weapon, I suppose ? So what exactly do they have to fear ?
